Month No.1
It’s already been one month again.
One month since I’ve come back from London.
One month full of new experiences and exciting stuff going on.
I didn’t want to start all over again and apply for a new host family in England, so I had to move on with my life back here in Germany.
(God I sound like a wise elderly lady who had just lost her husband...)
No I’m only 18.
Too young to know what I really want to do with my life and too young to make important decisions. But that’s exactly what I am expected to do since I’ve finished school.
Too young to know what I really want to do with my life and too young to make important decisions. But that’s exactly what I am expected to do since I’ve finished school.
So I’m back at the beginning and what do I need for a fresh start? Exactly, money.
First on the agenda: to find a new job.
Now that I found one and have worked there for nearly 3 weeks now I realized, I don’t like it.
I’m a morning person and I can’t cope with stress and pressure very well ... like at all. Which is great when you’re a waitress at a bar, isn’t it?
Unfortunately I also suck at disappointing people and saying no, so I don’t have a clue how to tell my boss that this job isn’t the right one for me and that I want to quit.
Well, I guess I’ll just have to see how it’s gonna go down in the end.
Second on the agenda: university.
I figured if I was already matriculated at university and was going to be here for the next year anyway, I could as well just go to some classes I was interested in. And that’s why I will now be attending arts history classes from next week on.
Isn’t that amazing? Is it? It is, right? Right? Well hopefully at least...
So far, that’s what my checklist was about since I’ve been back.
Then again the emotional chaos around all that, it’s a whole other story...
That’s one month.
One month that I would’ve never imagined so much could happen in only such few weeks.
